Next Sunday, the 10th, Samarco will sponsor a morning of Brazilian pop music for the community, at 10 o'clock, at Praça do Jardim in Mariana. It will include a performance by the choir 'Canta Comigo' from the district of Paracatu, and by composer, singer and folk guitar player Chico Lobo.
The event is part of the Culture and Recreation Project, a Samarco initiative to promote entertainment and skills development among the local communities. There will also be dance and make-up lessons, and a soccer tournament. For the children, there will be circus lessons, movies, art workshops, scavenger hunts and a recreational activity program, also supported by the local city administration, between January 18-29. The objective is to strengthen interaction among the families and develop talents and skills through activities which reinforce self-esteem, creativity, affectivity, socialization and the construction of knowledge.
