The Securities and Exchange Commission is monitoring recent market volatility in stocks and options, Acting Chair Allison Herren Lee and other regulatory officials said in a statement.
"We are working with our fellow regulators to assess the situation and review the activities of regulated entities, financial intermediaries, and other market participants," the statement said.
