During his career, Yanni has negotiated hundreds of license, distribution, purchase and sale agreements for clients from a wide range of industries, including motion picture, television, music, apparel, footwear, cosmetics, luxury goods, e-commerce, consumer electronics, food and beverage, software, video game, publishing, toys, theme park and sporting goods, and has represented major motion picture studios and television networks in copyright and trademark matters.
Yanni has served in different roles throughout his career. He was an intellectual property Partner at McDermott Will & Emery, he chaired the Trademark Practice Group at Greenberg Glusker, and also served as Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs for Saban Brands LLC, an entertainment studio, brand licensing company and home of the world-famous POWER RANGERS franchise, where he was responsible for transactional, intellectual property, licensing, distribution, enforcement, litigation, regulatory and compliance matters.
Yanni actively works with and supports non-profit organizations, including sitting on the Board of Project Mexico & St. Innocent Orphanage, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that builds homes for the poor and houses orphaned boys in Mexico. As an Adjunct Professor of Law at Whittier Law School, Yanni teaches an International Intellectual Property course in Spain in affiliation with the University of Barcelona.
