Gov. Ricketts to Honor Fire Department Flood Heroes in Fremont, O'Neill, & Spencer

LINCOLN - Over the next week, Governor Pete Ricketts will visit fire departments in Fremont, O'Neill, and Spencer to recognize their heroic efforts to serve Nebraskans during the historic floods of 2019.

At each location, the Governor will make brief remarks before presenting an award to the fire department. The Governor will also host a town hall following the ceremony in Spencer. All these events are open to the public.

Fremont Flood Heroes Ceremony

What: Ceremony to honor the Fremont Rural Volunteer Fire Department for their heroism during the 2019 floods

When: 3:45pm on January 17, 2020

Where: Fremont Rural Fire Station, 110 Boulevard St., FREMONT

O'Neill Flood Heroes Ceremony

What: Ceremony to honor the O'Neill Volunteer Fire Department for their heroism during the 2019 floods

When: 11:00am on January 22, 2020

Where: O'Neill Fire Station, 304 S. 4th St., O'NEILL

Spencer Flood Heroes Ceremony & Town Hall

What: Town hall and ceremony to honor the Spencer Volunteer Fire Department for their heroism during the 2019 floods

When: 1:00pm on January 22, 2020

Where: Spencer Fire Department, 11 W. Main Street, SPENCER
