January 10, 2017, at 1345hrs, at the Command Building I, Government House, following the weekly cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha stated that there were considerable progress in the Government's effort to undertake national reform. A number of implementations have been completed, for instance, combating IUU Fishing, and civil aviation reform (Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand has been established). As for law and judicial reform, justice fund has been set up. Over 180 laws were enacted, while approximately 200 are under deliberation, and the other 200 are pending for deliberation. The Government also improved ease of doing business by enacting ease of doing business, and licensing facilitation laws, as well as strengthening freedom of information act. Damrongtham Center, which was established throughout the country, has received over 8 million complaints of which approximately 90% have been solved.

According to the Prime Minister, Article 44 of the interim Constitution may be invoked, if necessary, to expedite tasks that have faced legal hindrance. He reiterated that all undertakings are implemented within the framework of the Master Plan. With regard to reconciliation, the Prime Minister stated that the most important thing was to ensure that Thais of all sectors no longer fight with one another.
