By Northeast Bank today announced a donation of $1,000 to the New Beginnings House in Lewiston. New Beginnings offers a variety of programs to assist homeless teens, including an emergency shelter, a transitional living program, community and outreach services.
The needs of homeless teens are constantly changing. The New Beginnings House offers a supportive environment for the teens it serves, while promoting opportunities for their growth and advancement. To further assist this initiative, Northeast Bank employee, Michael Lanois, volunteers his time at New Beginning fundraising events, serves on the Board of Directors and sits on its Finance Committee.
"Supporting homeless and needy teens in our communities is a top priority at Northeast Bank," said Jim Delamater, President and CEO of the Northeast Community Banking Division. "This is an issue that needs more attention and support in Maine, and we are pleased to put our resources to work to help New Beginnings and hope that our contribution will make a difference."
