Gaining a US distributor for an innovative e-learning training programme is the latest success for training specialist The Development Company Limited.

Company Director Kay Buckby confirms that this new direction for the Northamptonshire-based business is proof that UK Trade and Investment(UKTI) effectively works for companies prepared to not only be creative about export but think outside of the box.

With almost 20 years as a 'train the trainer' and management skills provider The Development Company Limited has entered an exciting new export arena. On-going support from UKTI has provided the know-how and financial support to export the company's interactive e-learning programme.

The Development Company may be located in a quiet Northamptonshire village, yet it has an impressive portfolio of UK and international clients, ranging from Motor Neurone Disease Association and Guys' and St Thomas' Hospital, to multinationals Villeroy and Boch (Tableware) Division and Norbert Dentressangle.

The company vision is to become the preferred partner for training provision, consultancy and trainers' resources to clients keen to work with training experts who are passionate about raising the bar for learning and skills development in the 21st century.

In 2012, The Development Company signed an Australian distributor, Kanopy Pty to sell its training films as video streaming.

The latest success follows a visit this summer (2013) to meet Oregonbased distributor Open Sesame, which is the largest off-the-shelf e-learning marketplace in North America.
