By The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas increased to US$ 110.64/barrel (bbl) on 25.01.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 109.96/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 23.01.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 5957.96/bbl on25.01.2013 as compared to Rs5912.55/bbl on 23.01.2013. This was due to price increase in dollar terms and rupee deprecation. Rupee dollar-exchange rate on 25.01.2013 was Rs53.85/US$ against Rs 53.73/US$ on previous trading day of 23.01.2013.
