H.E. Ali Babacan, Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Ahmet Davutoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E.Nihat Zeybekci, Minister of Economy and Mr. Kadir Topbaş, Mayor of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality will participate in the 2014 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum which will be held in Davos, on 22-25 January 2014.

The World Economic Forum meeting, organized every year in Davos, is a significant international event which gathers statesmen, senior executives from international business and financial circles, opinion leaders, academics, members of media and non-governmental organizations and where current global, regional and thematic issues are addressed with the participation of high level personalities in an environment of free discussion.

Around 3,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to attend this year's meeting. Nearly 50 heads of State or government and a large number of ministers will be present in Davos. Moreover, about 2,000 executives from leading companies of the world will participate in the event.

H.E. Mr. Ahmet Davutoglu will attend as a panelist the sessions entitled "Humanitarian Crisis in Syria" and " The End Game for the Middle East" organized within the framework of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum and will participate in some other sessions and meetings as well.

H.E. Ahmet Davutoğlu is also expected to have several bilateral contacts and meetings on the margins of the event during his stay in Switzerland from 23 to 25 January 2014.
