Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, headed the UAE delegation at the extraordinary ministerial meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which was held at the invitation of Saudi Arabia, to discuss implications of the attacks against its diplomatic missions in Tehran and Mashhad.
The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah, Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. In attendance were foreign ministers of the member states and Iyad Madani, OIC's Secretary-General.
The UAE delegation included Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Haidan, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organisations Affairs, and Mohammed Saeed Mohammed Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
