Jakarta, 17/01/2017 MoF - The Statistics Indonesia (BPS) recorded Rupiah has appreciated to some foreign currencies in December 2016. As quoted from BPS site on Monday (01/16), there are four currencies monitored on the data, which is the United States Dollar (USD), Australian Dollar (AUD), Japanese Yen (JPY) and the Euro (EUR).

Rupiah appreciated 0.74 percent to the US dollar, with the highest level of the national average on retail middle rate occurred in the second week of December 2016, reached Rp13,286.42 per US dollar. Meanwhile to Australian dollar, Rupiah appreciated by 4.14 per cent in December 2016. The highest level of the national average on retail middle rate occurred in the fourth week of December 2016, that reached Rp9,664.58 per Australian dollar.

Meanwhile to Japanese Yen, Rupiah appreciated 5.06 percent with the highest level of the national average on retail middle rate occurred in the third week of December 2016, which reached Rp113.95 per Yen. Against the euro, Rupiah has appreciated by 2.38 per cent with the highest level of the national average on retail middle rate occurred in the third week of December 2016, that reached Rp13,994.88 per Euro.
