Ministry of Economy of Republic of Armenia : 5th Steering Committee meeting of Twinning Project took place

On January 24, the 5th Steering Committee meeting of Twinning Project on Strengthening the Investment Promotion and Investment Policy Institutional Framework was held. The results of the previous phases of the project have been represented, namely aftercare service, FDI strategy development and investment climate improvement, investments promotion and policy advocacy.

Details of Investment Forum launching in February in Paris have been discussed. The meeting was attended by the officials of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA and Development Foundation of Armenia, 'Business France' experts and representatives of the EU Delegation.
On October 15, 2015 EU Twinning Project on Strengthening the Investment Promotion and Investment Policy Institutional framework of Armenia has launched between Armenia and France. The aim of the project is to support the Government of Armenia in developing a policy of attracting foreign investment and increasing the volume of annual Greenfield FDI inflow into Armenia to foster economic growth and generate employment.
The implementation of the project is carried out with experts from Business France, direct beneficiaries are the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of RA and Development Foundation of Armenia.

The project focuses on three subject areas:
Component 1: Aftercare services development
Component 2: FDI strategy development and investment climate improvement
Component 3: Investment promotion and policy advocacy
