Russian Minister of Defence General of the Army Sergei Shoigu held a meeting with Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith.
'We highly appreciate development of the Loas-Russia relations at the current stage. One can say that everything that the Lao armed forces have is related to Russia', stressed the Lao Prime Minister.
He also said that he received a report from Lao Minister of Defence Colonel General Chansamone Chanyalath on his talks with the head of the Russian defence department that had taken place earlier.
He said that according to the report, the Russian side attaches great importance to implementation of agreements reached during his meeting with President Putin in May 2016 as well as those achieved during his visit to Russian in September 2017.
Thongloun Sisoulith wished Sergei Shoigu success during his visit to Laos, expressing regret that it was short.
The Lao Prime Minister also said that he was positive that the talks would be a success.
