The U.S. House is expected to vote on H.J. Res. 59 next week, a resolution showing congressional disapproval of the massive overreach by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers through the waters of the U.S. (WOTUS) rule.

Contact your member of Congress by visiting Michigan Farm Bureau's Legislative Action Center (no log in required) and ask them to support H.J. Res. 59 to show their disapproval for the WOTUS rule.

The WOTUS rule tramples states' rights and ability to manage their own waters, and places rules and restrictions over so many water features, it will make life very difficult for farmers and landowners everywhere.

'We need our members' continued tenacity because they're the reason our organization has come so far in opposing the WOTUS rule,' said Laura Campbell, manager of Michigan Farm Bureau's (MFB) agricultural ecology department. 'If Congress can pass this resolution it builds on their previous legislative actions, and sustains momentum we've gained in the courts.'
