KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 (Reuters) - Malaysia's industrial production rose 2.4% in May from a year earlier, below market expectations, government data showed on Friday.
May's factory output had been forecast to expand 4.2%, according to 11 economists surveyed in a Reuters poll.
