- The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center invites the media to attendStaring Slavery in the Face: In Libya & Beyondtoday, January 31.
With the recent news uncovering horrific images and information about humans being sold in slave auctions in Libya, Lisa Kristine, I AM Campaign, and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center have come together to create a one day symposium on combating modern day slavery and the illicit networks that sustain it.
The symposium is part of a series of local efforts seeking to create awareness during National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Returning to Cincinnati to deliver our closing keynote address, after jaw dropping reviews for her exhibit, ENSLAVED: A Visual Story of Modern Day Slavery, Lisa Kristine will use powerful imagery coupled with intimate portrayals to raise awareness of modern slavery.
