"It takes one person to make a difference. When employees discovered I was collecting water from friends and family to take to Flint, they jumped on board and the effort simply snowballed. From there, complete strangers started contacting me to donate and one gentlemen simply gave me money to purchase water on his behalf. It's an approximate $3.50 investment to help," said Butler.

The water collected by Matrix employees will be distributed to specific organizations in the Flint area with whom employees have relationships with including but not limited to churches and nursing homes.

Matrix Deputy Director, LeWanda Gipson applauds the efforts of all involved. "Our Matrix employees have always risen to the occasion when there's an opportunity to lend a helping hand, breathing life into our mission and serving those in need with passion and dedication. Our leadership team supports this drive and will use our resources to help neighboring communities," stated Gipson.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This is not a donation to Matrix Human Service, therefore, it is not tax deductible. This Matrix employee and community initiative directly benefits residents of Flint, Michigan.
