Lincoln County OR : Health and Human Services Director Change

Health and Human Services Director Cheryl Connell's employment with Lincoln County has been terminated today. The Board of Commissioners has made this change in leadership for the best interests of the county in serving the health needs of our communities.

Cheryl has spent the last six years as Director of Health and Human Services, and before that served as a nurse in the Public Health Division. While Director, Cheryl was instrumental in navigating the changing and expanding role of the County in public health, behavioral health and community health, and in the development of local health care service options for County Veterans in conjunction with the Department of Veterans' Affairs. She proved dedicated and diligent in her efforts to improve the health of all county residents.

Over the next few months, we will be actively searching for the next Director of HHS. During this time of transition, it is our priority to find the best individual to lead, while still maintaining a stable and effective organization.

Please join us in thanking Cheryl for her dedication, passion and enthusiasm she has given Health and Human Services the past six years.
