Sales have soared by more than £150m at Faccenda Foods in its first year of trading since fully integrating a turkey business it bought in 2012.

Andy Dawkins, managing director of the Brackley-headquatered group, hailed the results and unveiled plans to invest in manufacturing and staff in the coming years, according to Midlands Business Insider.

In the year to 27 April 2014, Faccenda, one of the largest poultry processing companies in the UK, posted sales of £520m compared with £365.2m to April 2013. Pre-tax profit also surged by more than £10m to about £15m.

It is the fourth consecutive year of growth at the group, which was driven by a strong performance in its chicken and turkey divisions and its "expanding convenience ranges", including its 'roast in the bag' line.
