TOKYO, June 28 (Reuters) - Japan's factory output rose 2.8% in May from the previous month, versus the median market forecast for a 2.0% rise, government data showed on Friday.

Manufacturers surveyed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry expect seasonally adjusted output to decrease by 4.8% in June and expand by 3.6% in July. (Reporting by Satoshi Sugiyama; Editing by Himani Sarkar)
