Ingosstrakh Insurance Company accepts applications from the relatives of the victims and injured bus passengers that got into a road traffic accident on January 2 in the Ryazan Region. The civil liability of the carrier company to passengers is insured in Ingosstrakh Insurance Company under compulsory carrier liability insurance policies for causing harm to the life, health, and property of passengers.
The road traffic accident occurred on the morning of January 2, 2022, at the 277th kilometer of the R22 Caspian Highway near the village of Voslebovo in the Ryazan Region. A regular bus Moscow-Astrakhan ran over a railroad bridge support. According to emergency services, as a result of the accident, 5 people died, 22 people were injured. There were 49 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident.

According to the current legislation, compulsory carrier liability insurance payments amount to RUB 2.025 m in case of passenger death, up to RUB 2 m in case of damage to health (the amount of insurance payment are determined based on the severity of the damages received, on the basis of the calculation tables approved by the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation under Federal Law No. 67-FZ), and up to RUB 23,000 in case of damage to property. Federal Law No. 67-FZ on compulsory carrier liability insurance has been valid since 2013 and applies to all carriers of the passengers, except for passenger taxis.
