Increasing costs in almost all construction branches in December 2020

Vienna,2021-01-15 - The construction cost index (CCI 2015) for construction of residential buildings reached 110.2 index points in December 2020, according to calculations by Statistics Austria. This represents an increase of 1.9% against December 2019. Compared to November 2020, the index increased by 0.4%.

The index for road constructionreached 107.5 index points (-0.3% in annual comparison), the index for bridge constructionincreased to 109.4 points (+1.4% compared to December 2019), and the index for sanitary engineeringstood at 109.5 points (+1.1% in annual comparison).
