Harmony School of Excellence invites the community to attend its open house and enrollment fair that is timed to coincide with National School Choice Week 2017.

The event begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 21 at the school, located at 2015 SW Loop 410 in San Antonio. Current and prospective families can visit tables showcasing grade level projects and school clubs. Other community organizations will also be present with information on their services for families. Harmony students will perform a high-energy choreographed dance to Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling” in the parking lot.

Harmony School of Excellence is a public charter school serving 560 students in grades PreK – 5.

The goal of the event is to celebrate great education choices in Texas and raise awareness among parents about school choice. The celebration is timed to take place right before National School Choice Week (January 22-28, 2017), which will feature more than 21,000 events across the country.

"Harmony School of Excellence is participating in National School Choice Week because we believe in the importance of choice in how it relates to education and families in our community," said Amanda Zamora, Campus Engagement and Outreach Coordinator.

Held every January, National School Choice Week is an independent public awareness effort designed to shine a positive spotlight on effective education options for every child. Through more than 21,000 independently planned events across the country, National School Choice Week raises public awareness of all types of educational choices available to children. These options include traditional public schools, public charter schools, public magnet schools, online learning, private schools, and homeschooling.
