The Dialogues Internet platform has been launched to collect proposals from civil society and communicate them to the G20 leaders. The project is aimed at expanding dialogue and beginning substantive consultations with civil society.

The start of the project marks the beginning of preparations for the G20 Civil summit, which will be held in Russia for the first time in June 2013. Its objective is to establish a productive dialogue between civil society and decision-makers, with the priorities outlined by the official agenda of Russia's G20 presidency in mind. Russia is the first G20 president to engage civil society into official consultations on the G20 agenda.

The Website offers seven online dialogues covering different items of the agenda. These are environmental sustainability and energy, food security, anti-corruption, labor and employment, financial education, international financial infrastructure and post-MDGs (millennium development goals for a post-2015 period).
