With GO-Trust ID certified by Microsoft ® the users authenticate themselves to their phones and then can either login automatically as they approach the ASUS X507 or if even greater security is required the phone can request fingerprint identification. The ASUS X507 recognizes the proximity of the smartphone using Bluetooth and authenticates itself to Windows Hello using the user’s credentials securely encrypted by the Android TEE or iPhone Enclave. This method of authentication is many times superior to user name and password as it uses cryptographic mechanism. This eliminates phishing, man-in-the-middle and replay attacks as biometrics and keys never leave the smart phone so cannot be cloned.

If the user picks up their smart phone and walks away from their ASUS X507 logoff is instantaneous. The phone can be either an Android 6.0 fingerprint phone or iPhone 5S and above. Using Bluetooth communication no voice or SMS connectivity required so the GO-Trust ID can be used where no phone service is available like when connected to an in-flight internet service.
