Farient Advisors, a leading independent executive compensation and performance advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Marc Hodak as partner, effective January 1, 2017.

Mr. Hodak brings more than 20 years of executive compensation consulting experience and also is a recognized expert in corporate governance. Over his career, he has developed executive and board compensation programs for global companies, both private and public, in multiple industries including manufacturing, consumer products, energy, financial services, real estate, technology, telecommunications and transportation.

Prior to joining Farient Advisors, Mr. Hodak served as principal of Hodak Value Advisors as well as leading projects for Stern Stewart & Co, a management consulting firm. He currently teaches corporate governance as an adjunct professor at NYU’s Stern School, and as a visiting lecturer at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Mr. Hodak is an accomplished author who has been published in business and academic journals on such topics as corporate governance, executive compensation and managerial incentives. He also is a sought after speaker throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Mr. Hodak holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Maryland and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
