Federica Mogherini and Benyamin Netanyahou

On Thursday and Friday, High Representative/Vice President Federica Mogherini attends a number of high-level events at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Today, she acted as moderator at the session 'Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders: Stabilising the Middle East', which looked at how to better coordinate the work of the international community in the region.

On Friday, Mogherini will be a panellist at a televised session entitled: 'Europe at a Tipping Point', which will look at the refugee crisis and recent terrorist attacks and the need for Europe to act while preserving its values.

She will also attend a session on 'Responding to the Humanitarian Crisis' and a meeting on the 'Imperative for 2016'.

The HRVP will also take the opportunity to have a number of important bilateral meetings, including with Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, Ashraf Ghani, President of Afghanistan, Tammam Salam, Prime Minister of Lebanon, Susana Malcorra, Foreign Minister of Argentina, and Peter Maurer, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
