Euro zone consumer confidence falls in January

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Euro zone consumer confidence fell 0.6 points to -6.3 in January from December, the first estimate by the European Commission showed on Thursday.

This is well below expectations of economists polled by Reuters, who forecast an unchanged reading at -5.7.
