A new website promoting offshore energy opportunities and facilities at the port of Lowestoft is now available.

Working in partnership with Lowestoft-based 4C Offshore Ltd, Waveney District Council has developed a dedicated online platform for news and information about the port of Lowestoft.

Set within the existing East Suffolk website, the new port section provides all the latest offshore energy news for the local area as well as infrastructure details on the port itself, including details of quays and terminals. The site also provides a directory of related businesses and suppliers as well as details of available commercial properties in the area.

Cllr Michael Ladd, Waveney's cabinet member for Tourism, Economic Development and Rural Affairs said: 'This excellent new platform will raise awareness of the port and the surrounding area to the worldwide energy market, promoting the services on offer and encouraging new renewable energy opportunities. We are delighted to be working with 4C Offshore to deliver this portal, which will enable those involved in the industry to locate relevant news, information and opportunities in one convenient location.'

Based at OrbisEnergy, 4C Offshore is a leading market research consultancy, specialising in the offshore energy sector.

Chris Anderson CEO of 4C offshore said: 'This platform has focused on strategic interests that can bring benefit to East Suffolk. This region is the energy heart of the UK with major Offshore wind, Nuclear and Gas infrastructure all on our doorstop, connected to the sea through the port of Lowestoft. We are moving into the most exciting era for our region for decades and I am proud to partner with East Suffolk to provide this portal which highlights opportunities and informs all those interested to take part.'

In the future the site will feature opportunities for Sizewell C, Southern North Sea oil and gas rejuvenation and decommissioning as well as highlighting financial opportunities within the New Anglia LEP.
