EDF Energy : launches new fixed tariff Blue+Price Promise February 2017

EDF Energy, the UK's largest producer of low carbon electricity, has launched Blue+Price Promise February 2017.

Blue+Price Promise February 2017 willreplace the company's existing fixed-price tariff, Blue+Price Promise January 2017, and is at the lower cost of £841 a year for a typical dual fuel direct debit customer, based on a national average of regional prices.

Customers signing up to Blue+Price Promise February 2017 will benefit from:

• Fixed pricesfor 13 months until 28 February 2017
• No exit feesat any time
• No chargefor calling the UK-based call centres
• No extra chargesfor paper bills if customers prefer them
• Industry-first 'Price Promise'- customers can check if they can get a better deal elsewherewith a personalised comparison of their tariff against the cheapest tariff in the market, available online from MyAccountor via the EDF Energy App
  A guarantee that the electricity they use will be matched by low carbon electricity generated by nuclear power stations without them paying a premium

The current Blue+Price Freeeeze January 2018, which offers customers the chance to fix their energy prices for a longer period, is still available.

1. Blue+Price Promise January 2017 will be withdrawn from sale on 20 January 2016. It was priced at £884 a year, for a typical dual fuel direct debit customer, based on a national average of regional prices.
2. Typical use as defined by Ofgem is 3,100kWh electricity, 12,500kWh gas and 4,500kWh of electricity for Economy 7 customers
3. Low-carbon electricity purchased for Blue is supplied into the National Grid. Blue customers receive electricity via the National Grid, not directly from low-carbon generators. For more information please see www.edfenergy.com/blue.
