"As you can see, everything is gone, roof everything is gone. I'm newly married, just renovated my house after the floods and this is another disaster for us."
Residents of Tongaat are coming to grips with the scale of the destruction. Vrijmohun lamented the extensive damage to her home, caused by what she described as a second disaster, after just recovering from floods last year.
Local media reported that the national weather service had issued a level four warning for heavy rain and possible flooding.
