By David Slothower has been named regional sales manager of Business Wire's Silicon Valley office, it was announced today.

A native of Silicon Valley, Slothower has witnessed the region's transformation into the world's leading high-tech hub, and the corresponding growth of garage start-ups into today's global tech industry leaders.

An alumnus of San Jose State University, Slothower joined Business Wire in 2011 as an account executive. Previously, Slothower held sales executive positions with Microsoft and Arkadin.
Slothower reports to San Francisco-based group vice president Dick Bromley.
