The Welsh government has its own policy for the permanent disposal of higher activity radioactive waste, which is compatible with UK government's policy on higher activity radioactive waste. The Welsh government's policy states clearly that a GDF will only be built in Wales provided a Welsh community chooses to host the facility.

RWM will be the delivery partner if a Welsh community does come forward. We are currently developing a new website which will include information specific to Wales, and will be available in both the Welsh and English languages. In the meantime, if you would like to be kept updated on developments please subscribe to the RWM e-bulletin - this service is currently only available in English, pending our new website.

This page is also available in Welsh.
