Prime Minister Boyko Borissov spoke with representatives of the big Chinese business today, who are in Bulgaria to explore possibilities for investments. At the meeting, attended also by Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Dontchev, participated the Vice-President of Alibaba Group Mr Sun, the President of the GS-Solar Company Mr Lin and the President of GoldPoly Group Mr Hong. They were accompanied by our recent General Consul in Shanghai Dimitar Abadzhiev.

The Chinese investors pointed out that their interest for our country is a result of the good relations between Prime Minister Borissov and the President and Prime Minister of China Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang. It was a common assessment that bilateral business contacts have intensified in recent years after the Bulgarian participation at the highest level in the 16+1 initiative, the economic forums that took place, and the possibilities created for discussion of concrete projects between business representatives from the two countries.

The Alibaba Group's ideas for investments in our country are related to the creation of a logistics center for their online trade, which will service the orders from entire Europe. The project also includes marketing Bulgarian goods and food on international markets. GS-Solar Company's intentions include opening a plant for production of solar panels, whereas GoldPoly Group is interested in purchasing Bulgarian tobacco.

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the Chinese authorities for the intensification of the bilateral economic relations. He highlighted that a priority for the government since its first day at work has been to create a better business climate and stimulate investments by cutting down the administrative burden and ensuring a stable environment for the business. The Prime Minister pointed out that Bulgaria's advantages are not limited to the low taxes but relate to the stability that our country projects as a financial and economic entity in the European Union.
