Classical Conversations leaders will offer an introduction to the classical home education model for families looking for a choice in education for their children on Tuesday, January 26.

From 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Northland Community Church, area directors for Classical Conversations will welcome families with children ages 4 through 16 who are interested in a home-based classical Christian education for their children. The open house is scheduled in conjunction with National School Choice Week, which raises awareness of educational choices for parents with events such as this being held in all 50 states.

Guests will have the opportunity to attend an opening assembly, as well as “Foundations,” “Essentials,” and “Challenge” programs throughout the day. Experienced homeschooling families will be on campus to answer any questions about the program.

“Educational choice is not always about picking a school, but selecting an academic program that suits your child’s learning needs and your family culture. We are so glad that National School Choice Week celebrates homeschooling and online learning in addition to traditional public, charter, and private schools,” said Lori Morrissey, director, Classical Conversations Foundations & Essentials Programs.

Classical Conversations supports homeschooling parents by cultivating the love of learning through a Christian worldview in fellowship with other families. Classical Conversations believes there are three keys to a great education: classical, Christian, and community.

Guests must first attend an information meeting on either January 22 or 23. For more information, contact Lori Morrissey at LoriMonumentCC@gmail.com.

A nonpartisan, nonpolitical public awareness effort, National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for students, families, and communities around the country.
