January 16, 2018: At this time, Cobb is predicted to receive approximately ½ inch of snow beginning around 4 pm today. The temperature will not reach 30 tomorrow therefore any snow received will not melt. This event will be all snow with very little black ice forming. The wind chills will be 0-5 in our area tonight and in the morning!
Our crews began pre-treating roads this morning. Depending on the temperature and snow amounts, crews will transition to running designated routes with salt/gravel mix as needed. We will be maintaining crews overnight.
We will continue to monitor and provide updates as needed.
