SHANGHAI, Sept 16 (Reuters) - China's yuan weakened past the psychologically important 7 per dollar level for the first time in two years on Friday, reacting to a buoyant dollar and a slowing domestic economy.

The onshore yuan breached the key level to 7.0066 per dollar in early trade, while its offshore counterpart stood at 7.0211.
