China's economy grew 2.2% last year, the country's statistics bureau said Friday, down from the 2.3% growth given in its initial report at the beginning of this year.

The revision is part of the National Bureau of Statistics' annual review of gross domestic product data.

The biggest downward revision among the sectors was in catering and accommodation. The sector's contraction widened 3.7 percentage points to 16.8%, the bureau said.

Growth in the property sector was revised down 1.6 percentage points to 1.3%.

Last year, the NBS lowered the 2019 GDP growth figure to 6.0% from 6.1%.
