RALEIGH, NC
- Don Waddell, President of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has entered into a multi-year partnership with McDonald's. The partnership makes McDonald's McCafé coffee the Official Coffee of the Carolina Hurricanes, and McDonald's will be the title sponsor of the team's television pre- and post-game shows, HURRICANES LIVE!, on FOX Sports Carolinas and FOX Sports Southeast.

Beginning the first week of February, McDonald's locations in the Raleigh, Durham and Fayetteville areas will feature special-edition Hurricanes hot coffee cups in all sizes for their McCafé coffee. The cups will be available through the end of the Hurricanes' 2015-16 season.

'It is very exciting to have McDonald's become part of the Hurricanes' family of partners,' said Waddell. 'I can say that, as an avid coffee drinker, I very frequently stop in for McCafé coffee. It's always fun to have a business you patronize regularly come on board as a partner.'

As part of the new partnership, fans are encouraged to download the McDonald's app to receive free coffee for all Hurricanes home game dates. Also, the Hurricanes' official Twitter account, @NHLCanes, will offer fans special opportunities to win McCafé coffee gift packs and Hurricanes tickets.

'We are thrilled to join forces and be the Official Coffee of the Carolina Hurricanes,' said Raleigh McDonald's Owner/Operator Andy Martin. 'We're also excited to bring that red-and-black pride back to our local restaurants and customers with the new Hurricanes-themed McCafé coffee cups.'
