Roma, 29 gennaio 2016 - Il Presidente della Cassa depositi e prestiti (CDP), Claudio Costamagna, e il Vice Chairman di Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) e ministro dell'Economia e del Commercio del Qatar, S.E. Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al-Thani, hanno firmato un memorandum d'intesa finalizzato da un lato alla collaborazione per lo sviluppo del settore turistico italiano, dall'altro all'investimento da parte di QIA di 100 milioni di euro come base minima, nel nuovo fondo di growth capital promosso da CDP.

Per QIA, già partner di CDP attraverso la joint venture con il Fondo Strategico Italiano 'IQ Made in Italy Investment', l'accordo rappresenta la conferma dell'interesse strategico per gli investimenti in Italia. Per CDP è un ulteriore concreto esempio del ruolo svolto a sostegno dello sviluppo del Paese anche attraverso l'attrazione di risorse estere.

CDP and QIA sign memorandum of understanding for partnership in Italian tourism sector and investment of at least €100 million in growth fund promoted by CDP

Rome, 29 January, 2016 - The Chairman of Cassa depositi e prestiti (CDP), Claudio Costamagna, and Vice Chairman of Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and Minister of Economy and Commerce of Qatar, H.E. Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al-Thani, have signed a memorandum of understanding with the objectives of collaborating in developing the Italian tourism sector and investing in a new growth capital fund promoted by CDP with a minimum base of 100 million euros.

For QIA, already CDP's partner through the 'IQ Made in Italy Investment' joint venture, the agreement represents a confirmation of its strategic interest in investing in Italy. For CDP, it's a further example of its role supporting the development of the country, also by attracting foreign resources.
