This month, Entrepreneur magazine announced Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar (Boston’s) as one of the country’s top franchises. The announcement was made as part of the annual Franchise 500® list, the world’s first, best and most comprehensive franchise ranking, released in the magazine’s January edition. Boston’s joins the likes of Subway and McDonald’s as a growing international brand.

The rankings for all 500 companies are determined using an exclusive formula that takes into account objective and quantifiable factors, with the most important factors being financial strength and stability, growth rate, and size of the system. After all the financial data is analyzed by an independent CPA, all franchises are given a cumulative score. The 500 franchises with the highest scores become the Franchise 500 in ranking order.

“This ranking in Entrepreneur says a lot about the direction in which Boston’s is heading,” explained Al Davis, Vice President of Development and Franchise Sales. “With our recent decision to begin franchising stateside again, to find ourselves on a list of this kind of caliber is exactly where we envisioned being.”

Earlier this year, Boston’s took a step back and re-evaluated the business model, improving the successful locations, coming up with a solid growth plan for the future and hiring a new, highly-skilled management team to handle franchise development. With the common goal to grow the business as much and as efficiently as possible, the new franchise development team is on track to grow exponentially in the coming years.
