Monica Cunill-Fals, a partner at Avila Rodriguez Hernandez Mena & Ferri LLP (ARHMF), a South Florida law firm representing domestic and international businesses and investors across multiple practice areas, received Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Miami’s 2014 “Networking Deal of the Year” award during the organization’s monthly luncheon held January 14, 2015 at the Four Seasons Hotel and Resort in Miami.

Monica Cunill-Fals was honored for her work on a real estate transaction valued at approximately $57 million. Cunill-Fals, along with Iris Escarra of Greenberg Traurig LLP, represented Espacio Miami Properties, LLC in the sale of a commercial property - located in downtown Miami across from the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and between the Brickell corridor and the Design District - to an entity affiliated with The Related Companies. Cunill-Fals negotiated the purchase and sale agreement and transaction documents and handled the closing of the sale for the seller while Escarra provided advice to the seller regarding land use related matters.

“It is an honor to be recognized by my peers and colleagues for ensuring a successful transaction and closing for our client,” said Cunill-Fals. “The commercial real estate market in South Florida continues to thrive and I am proud to be a part of both it and CREW-Miami.”

Founded in 1987, CREW-Miami serves as a support network for more than 200 professional women across the commercial real estate industry. Today, the association encourages networking, expands education, and helps develop business opportunities.

At ARHMF, Cunill-Fals represents local, national and international clients in the acquisition, disposition, financing and leasing of various types of commercial real estate projects. She also has significant experience representing servicers of loans, as well as commercial real estate lenders.
