Inflation Movements in December 2019

According to the data of the Serbian Statistical Office, y-o-y inflation equalled 1.9% in December. Relative to November, consumer prices increased by 0.5%, as a result of the rise in the prices of fresh vegetables and electricity.

Core inflation (CPI excluding prices of food, energy, alcohol and cigarettes) remained low and stable in 2019, measuring 1.1% y-o-y in December.

Under the NBS central projection, in the coming period inflation will remain low and stable.
