SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 21, 2014) - San Francisco-based ad agency ARGONAUT has hired head of interactive development Aaron McGuire and head of broadcast production Dan Watson.

"We're delighted to see the ARGONAUT team continue to grow with the addition of such amazing talent," said Jordan Warren, president. "Aaron and Dan are the best in the business and give us the development and production leadership we need to bring our ideas to life in any marketing channel."

"Digital-age advertising requires a culture of experimentation and craftsmanship as well as the ability to rapidly prototype ideas across mediums," said Robbie Whiting, head of creative technology and production. "Dan is a 20-year veteran whose integrated work has won Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils and he's produced digital films that have garnered over 50 million YouTube views. And Aaron's reputation precedes him as a maker and a sought-after technologist who has been involved in building amazing and successful digital brand experiences."

McGuire joins ARGONAUT from Evolution Bureau (EVB) where he built and ran the development practice, working on notable digital projects for Facebook and Juicy Fruit's "Serenading Unicorn." McGuire was also named among the top 10 technologists in 2011 by Adweek magazine. Prior to EVB, he spearheaded development at Crispin Porter + Bogusky. McGuire will assist Whiting in building a world-class technology offering that taps into the wealth of talent in the Bay Area, with a special emphasis on building a culture that develops useful and entertaining elements for brands.

Watson joins the ARGONAUT team as head of broadcast production, where he will lead the agency's integrated film and video production capabilities. Watson worked closely with ARGONAUT co-chief creative officers Rick Condos and Hunter Hindman at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners on high-profile projects including Chevrolet Super Bowl campaigns that transcended television, and other notable projects with Cisco, Doritos and Comcast. He also worked with Whiting at Draftcb in San Francisco as SVP, director of broadcast production focusing primarily on Electronic Arts.
