Admiral Crowe is Senior Advisor to GlobalOptions, an international crisis management firm in Washington DC.
Previously he was the US Ambassador to the United Kingdom (1994-97), the Chairman of the President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board (1993-94) and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (1985-89).
In 1998-99 he chaired the State Department Accountability Review Boards for the embassy bombings in Dar es Salaam and Nairobi.
In 1980 Admiral Crowe was named the Commander in Chief of Allied Forces Southern Europe.
Subsequently, he commanded the US Pacific Command before President Reagan named him the 11th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in 1985.
Admiral Crowe also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Bioport.
He is the Shapiro Visiting Professor of International Affairs at George Washington University and serves as a Trustee of Princeton University.
