Werner Halbich joined ING Investment Management (INGIM) in June 2001 and is a Director, International Management.
In his role he has the responsibilities of covering international equities and global credit.
Werner is the key liaison person between INGIM Australia and the regional and global investment teams located in The Hague, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Hartford and Atlanta.
He is responsible for the management of all cash flows to the regional offices and all the foreign exchange and futures transactions linked to these.
His team also co-ordinates Global Equity funds on behalf of other INGIM office in the region and undertakes the trading for the Japanese funds offered in Australia.
Werner is a member of the Australian Asset Allocation Committee.
Werner has more than 30 years experience in investment management, and has held various senior positions including Director, Head of Investment Advisory at UBS Warburg Private Clients and 10 years as an Investment Manager at Royal & Sun Alliance.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Economics and Business Economics and an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch.
