Ward Connerly is President and Chief Executive Officer of Connerly & Associates, a Sacramento land-use consulting firm.
Mr. Connerly earned his bachelor's degree in political theory from California State University, Sacramento.
In 1996 he served as chairman of the California Civil Rights Initiative, which campaigned for the passage of Proposition 209.
He serves on the board of the California Chamber of Commerce.
In 1993 Mr. Connerly was appointed to a 12-year term as Regent by Governor Wilson.
