Vassilios Rapanos

Vassilios T.
Rapanos is currently the Non-Executive Chairman at Alpha Services & Holdings SA since 2014.
He is also currently serving as the Chairman at The Hellenic Bank Association since 2021.
Additionally, he holds the position of Chairman at the National Bank of Greece Cultural Foundation and is a Professor-Emeritus at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He became a Member of the Academy of Athens in 2016.
In his former positions, Dr. Rapanos served as the Chairman of the National Bank of Greece SA from 2009 to 2012.
He was also the Chairman of the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA from 1998 to 2000.
He held the position of Chairman at the National Securities Single Member SA. Furthermore, he served as the Chairman of The Hellenic Bank Association from 2009 to 2012.
He was the Chairman-Council at the Ministry of Economy & Finance from 2000 to 2004.
Dr. Rapanos was a Director at the National Bank of Greece SA in 2004.
He also served as a Director at the Public Debt Management Agency from 2000 to 2004.
Prior to that, he was the Deputy Governor at the National Mortgage Bank of Greece SA from 1995 to 1998.
Dr. Rapanos obtained a doctorate degree from Queen's University.
He also holds a graduate degree from the University of Lakehead, which was conferred in 1977.
Additionally, he has an undergraduate degree from Athens University of Economics & Business, which was conferred in 1975.
