Timothy G. Clifford

Tim Clifford is a founding member of Abacus and currently serves as the President, CEO, and an Investment Committee member.
Tim brings over 30 years of experience in lower-middle market lending, and he personally touches every deal that Abacus works on.
Prior to Abacus, Tim was the Executive Vice President and Head of Amalgamated Capital, a lower-middle market lending business he started.
He also worked at Churchill Financial, where he was a Managing Director.
Before that, Tim worked in the Technology & Life Sciences division of Comerica Bank, where he founded the leveraged-lending practice.
Tim was also a founding member of FleetBoston Securities, where he was a Managing Director for eleven years.
Tim holds an MBA from F.W.
Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and a BS in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
