Sumner W. White

Mr. White is a senior executive with broad experience in energy, engineering, infrastructure development, operations and maintenance management in industrial, institutional and utility environments.
Mr. White is a founder of EMS Group I and EMS USA, and has been a Director and Secretary of the company since it was organized in 2003.
Mr. White was also Chief Operating Officer of the company from 2003 to 2008.
In addition to his position as President of EMS’s LNG Services, Mr. White served as an Independent Energy Consultant to Marathon Oil Company during 2002 and 2003 and as Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of SRW Group, Inc. since 2000.
He also worked as a subcontractor to Navigant Consulting, Inc. from 2001-2002.
Mr. White has developed and divested independent power and cogeneration plants.
He has introduced participatory management methods and instituted best practices in a unionized, heavy industry to establish numerous safety, quality and productivity records some of which were on bottleneck production units.
Mr. White has developed significant cost reductions by developing and implementing energy management and conservation programs in industrial and institutional settings.
He holds a BS degree in Mathematics from the University of Chicago, an MS in Applied Mathematics and an MS in Energy Engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago, IL.
